I had the great pleasure of working on this campaign for A+E Network via Friends of Mine (Denver). As I reflect upon this time, I came to realize that starting on this project during the pandemic made it especially important and intimate. In fact, to be able to help the producers tell these beautiful stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things reminded me how fragile life really is.

Ultimately the work demonstrates how these seemingly ordinary and singular people are actually real-life heroes to many others. I believe the world can use more content like this!

The dreamy quality of the music by Dirty Art Club (“Intl Ashtray”) adds a sense of underlying calm and perhaps a vibe of “everything is going to be alright after all” to the filmed experience.

With a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and 13.1 mile run, 106º West sets a new standard for competition as athletes from around the world gather in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. With a $25,000 prize purse and exclusive permission granted to swim in the famous Lake Dillon, a challenge such as this can only be found at altitude. It won’t be pretty, but it will be beautiful.
